House of Hong Geon Ik is a Hanok built in 1936, and it is ‘public Hanok’ belonging to Seoul City which is open to the public as it is a modern Hanok with well preserved round stone water well and Ilgak door which are not easy to find in Seoul. It organizes programs for local residents and citizens under the management of National Trust Cultural Heritage Foundation, outsourced from Seoul City.
